Welcome to Fermi Torino Group!

Born at the begenning of 2014, our Fermi Group counts members who actively work in the science contest of the Fermi experiment since its design. It is part of the international collaboration, that launched the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope into a near-earth orbit on 11 June 2008. This group mixes a plurality of skills of different scientists, from the physical detector up to astrophysics and quantum field theory passing through solid skills of data analysis.

We work to control and optimize the performance of the telescope, we develop unconventional analysis techniques for the study of cosmic electrons and positrons, the modeling of the gamma isotropic background and indirect measurement of dark matter.
We are open to scientific collaborations and ready to offer students opportunities for growth in an international and stimulating environment.

Ci sono soltanto due possibili conclusioni: se il risultato conferma le ipotesi, allora hai appena fatto una misura; se il risultato è contrario alle ipotesi, allora hai fatto una scoperta.

Meetings

Fermi LAT gamma sky

The gamma ray sky as seen by Fermi LAT is shown in galactic coordinates. The bright horizontal line is the diffuse emission from cosmic rays interacting with the gas and dust in the galactic plane.

Our Activities

  • CRE inclusive spectrum analysis
  • Data Monitoring
  • First LAT Solar Flare catalog
  • Gamma-ray transients analyses
  • Multifrequency study on blazars

Here you can find some links to the presentation done during some important events. Also scheduled meeting agendae on SeeVogh are linked.
